Dirty Sensors…….

Hi, We recently carried out a wedding at Gosfield Hall in Suffolk.  It was a very hot day (what a surprise) and it went very well.  I edited the photographs the day after and found lots of black dots on the photographs..

I checked the lenses, they were fine. I then put my sensor inspection gadget on th camera. The sensor was filthy.  So all the photographs had to be cleaned in Photoshop, and the sensor had to be cleaned by a specialist.

Moral of the story. It’s not only the lens front that get dirty, the sensors do as well. Even on very expensive professional cameras.

The first photograph show the dirty marks, the second was after I “Cleaned” it.

One Response to Dirty Sensors…….

I once had dirty sensors and didn’t realize it till I got to the shooting location (a snowy mountain)…every shot had black dots that were very visible since most of my shots were of snow. It’s always a smart idea to check sensors and make sure everything is clean before an important shoot. Looks like u did a pretty good job cleaning up the “dirty” though…
